We're now swetting in Darwin. Temperature is below 40, but the humidity is deadly. The journey to get here, across The Kimberley and 'Top End', has been interesting...

We started in Broome, a nice little town, very relaxed and lots of drunk aboriginals... so when the bus driver told us that we should notgo to Kununurra due to flooding of the roads and a possibility to get stuck somewhere, we decided to risk it. In the end we were very lucky to get through all the way to Darwing without any problems. From Broome we stopped shortly at Kununurra, a niice town with really nice people who lended us a van to explore all the sights within one day.

We were the first travellers (and the only ones on the coach) to make it through to Katherine since the re opening of the Victoria river bridge - how lucky are we - however Katherine was not so idyllic, but rather a pretty dirty little town with LOTS of drunken aboriginals... the pool on backpackers and a gorge visit saved the place.
We are now in Darwin and hopefully going fishing tomorrow - town seems great... finally some civilisation.

Moonscape at sunset.

Approaching storm.

Lets go fishing...

Queensland groper named Marvin - this fish was about 2m - scary!
(Photo taken from peer, sticking the camera under water... not gonna
swim with this giant fish.. it can fit mans head in its mouth)

David's catch of the day - bluespotted sting ray.

Our first sight of a wild roo.

David learning to snorkle...

Dinner, which was smarter than us - the long nosed Emperor.

Coral bay coral.

Beer o'clock!

Suvi snorkling.

Pigeon gone punk!

And another beautiful sunset at Coral Bay.

Broome's georeous Cable beach, angry clouds approaching.

"Saltie" named Bluey - in Broome's crock park.

Guess when this fellow decided to have a poo? Soon after David picked him up :)
Note the crock injury on the left arm (attacker was really a ceiling fan in backpackers).

Who is on the top of the lamp? And more importantly, how did he get there?

A close up of our new smily pet.

Picture from a look out point at.. believe it or not... Kelly's knob, Kununurra.

And I was just about to go for a swim... nooot.
Road closed at Ivanhoe crossing, Kununurra.

Outback dunny.

Visiting Ord River Rum distillery. (No he is not drunk despite the face.)

Victoria river crossing... river now 3m below the old bridge - new one being built on the left.

On a speed boat at Katherine river george.

Spot the finn.

Look carefully... dangerous logodile at site.

Bats at the tree top.

Another friendly roo.

Happy daze at the pool in Katherine.

Spot the lemon (just dropped from the tree).
