NZ - Auckland

After sad goodbyes at the airport, we were once again by ourselves and tramping on foot. Our NZ final frontier, Auckand, turned out to be sunny and warm. Thanks to Marc and Cath for putting us up and kicking our butts for some exercise!

Where is everyone??? Downtown Auckland was as busy as Balclutha :)

Yeah, not the best of pics, but important as we got stuck on Marc and Cath's balcony for a while because the door got locked... can be a problem when sun goes down and wine is inside.

The thingy behind us kept moving slowly with wind... was kinda cool.

Waiheke island... 2 hr tramp before lunch and vinyards.

Spectacular views on the way...

...Cable Bay vinyard, our first tasting.

And thats the view I'm looking for :)

Mudbrick Vinyard - awesome wines with an awesome terrace and sunset.... I think I could move in here.

Stop over on our 18 km walk to St Hellier beach...

... camon boys... stop playing around!

Sunset views of Auckland.

And another tramp - Rangitoto volcano.

Lunch break... Catching up supertrampers Cath and Marc.

On the top... was a swetty climb but worth it. Coromandel peninsula on the horizon.

View of Auckland from the top... not much wind for sailing today.

Marc the pyromaniac with his new barby.

Gotta do the tower of course and show off a little :)

There is no shame in crawling! Its bloomin' high up here.

And this is what I was checking out.... nutters!!!!

I'm feeling good to be down and David is still dreaming about doing the tower jump... NOT allowed on my watch.

Off we go again - destination Santiago on LAN Chile.
