Bangkok

We decied to fly to Bangkok as that was the only way to get 30-day visa (15days via land border). This ment that we had to go via KL where we just came from :)
Bangkok was busy, but less smelly than K.L. We quite liked the river boat rides and tuktuks - although the tuktuk drivers do try to hassle you on every corner here.
We were almost the victims of some elaborate scams by local tourist agents who try desperately to sell you anything that they think you might want. One even told us that you could not buy train tickets from the train station and that we should take a bus between Bangkok and Chiang Mai ( our next destination ) because the windows are blacked out on the train....what rubbish!

Suvi boarding our air asia flight from Langkawi to K.L.

Bangkok rush hour traffic greeted us on our arrival.

Riding the tuktuk... fun... you always feel you've paid too much as they look so happy when you give the money :)

Afternoon thunderstorm.

Temple of Dawn.

Thai dancing at a close by restaurant.

I protest to put this pic here as my fly is open... embarrasing!

David experimenting with G9... see the speed boat :)

Typical street scene - walking along a sky bridge... very handy not being with the traffic.

David contemplating a base jump again :)

"Taxi... 200B... where are you going... 150B... taxiiiii"

At the palace... they made David wear those pants as his legs looked so obscene in shorts :)

One of the many Bhuddas.

Giving a donation.

David and reclining Bhudda's feet.

Reclining Bhudda.

Moi moi merimies! (David sayes with his excellent finnish).
About to hop on a river boat.

This one speaks for itself.

So does this one... At Chatatchuk market.

Another beauty we met.
